Description

I've worked with EGit (latest 0.6.x) yesterday and it uses Eclipse SSH settings (Preferences > General > Network Connections > SSH2) which can be also a good choice for HgEclipse. Right now ssh key/known_host "resolvation" is depending on the platform which is weird in windows case (it is way more easy in linux).

So I think these SSH settings can be enforced in HgEclipse hg calls where necessary.
